The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is a regulator of health and social care in England. They make sure that the care that people receive meets essential standards of quality and safety. Part of their role includes inspection of GP surgeries. All GP practices were required to register with the CQC in April 2013. The surgery holds a valid certificate of registration. More information about the role of the CQC can be obtained on the CQC website www.cqc.org.uk
CQC produce intelligence reports about the practice ratings. From 1st April 2015 these ratings are to be made available on the practice website as well as being displayed in the surgery.
