Minor Injury Units

 

 

Use your minor injuries units if you need medical treatment or advice which does not need a visit to A&E or a medical appointment. 

 

Centres can treat the following conditions:  
  • Ankle Hand, Wrist, Knee and Elbow injuries;
  • Animal & Insect bites & Stings, Burns & Scalds;
  • Cuts including those that need stiches;
  • Eye complaints including scatches or removal of foreign bodies;
  • Minor Head injuries;
  • Removal of superficial splinters or foreign bodies.

Opening Hours:  24 hours a day, 7 days a week including bank holidays

 

 

There is also a Minor Injuires Centre at the East Riding Community Hospital, Swinemoor Lane, Beverley, Hu17 0FA Tel No: 01482 886600 Opening Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm weekends.

 

Other centres are at Hornsea Cottage Hospital - Tel No: 01964 533146, Withernsea Hospital Tel No: 01964 614666 and Alfred Bean Hospital, Driffield Tel. No: 01377 208733.  

Out of Hours '111' Services

When the surgery is closed the NHS '111' service is available.

  • Local pharmacists can also help and give advice on minor ailments

Provision is in place for the practice to conform with its obligations under the FOI Act.

Data Protection

The practice is registered under the data protection act to protect patients information and data from misuse. Further details are available on request.

Complaints Procedure

The practice has a complaints/suggestions procedure for patients to either make a formal complaint or put forward any suggestions to improve the services we provide. Complaints/suggestions should be put in writing and the practice will respond accordingly.

We have a lot of patient information

We have leaflets available at the practice which cover a variety of health care conditions, promotions and other NHS services. These are available in the reception area and free to patients. For further information about services please ask at the reception.

Practice Newsletters

Practice newsletters cover surgery matters and development and are issued in the spring and autumn. These are available at the reception or on this website.

Sessional GP surgeries

We have sessional GP's who work at the surgery to help Dr Jaiveloo.

Patient Reference Group

The practice has a patient group that meets three times a year to discuss patient services and developments. We are looking to add new members to this group, particularly the under 21 age group. If you are interested in joining the group or attending one of our meetings. please contact us at the surgery.
